Intensive Course “Suffering, Death and Palliative Care”

The department IQ healthcare, section of Ethics, Philosophy and History of Medicine (Radboud University Medical Centre) organizes the 14th edition of the advanced European Bioethics Course ‘Suffering, death and palliative care’ from 14-17 February 2012.
Aim of the course is to educate participants on a range of ethical issues related to suffering, palliative care and medically assisted death. Extensive insight into the medical, philosophical, theological and ethical foundations of these concepts will be proffered.
The intensive course Suffering, Death and Palliative care is part of the post-initial Erasmus Mundus Master of Bioethics program organized by a consortium of three European universities: the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium), Radboud Universiteit Nijmegen (The Netherlands) and the Università degli Studi di Padova (Italy). Participants of the advanced course Suffering, Death and Palliative Care, will join Master students from all over the world.
